Price of Freedom

🇺🇸Our history is part of our story. I am an American. Thus  July 4th is part of my story and my history. Here’s for the 241th year of Independence. Here’s for the price of freedom that our forefathers have longed and fought for,our Independence Day.

Barbecues, fireworks and raising of flags are once again traditional and common. July the 4th has become a huge national holiday with parties, parades, family reunions and other events taking place across America. This is a day associated with patriotic displays, fun activities and games.Just like how every American usually commemorates Independence Day, our family enters the 4th of July with  fireworks, cookouts and family reunions.

🇺🇸

AS for the White House, government officials render their own speeches relating to the importance of heroism, patriotism and independence with  a show on the South Lawn.  Amidst these celebration and display, Independence Day represents so much more.

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children and the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protect it, hand it on to them to do the same-Ronald Reagan.

🇺🇸

This is why we commemorate Independence Day. It’s important to recognize what the country has been through. It’s a day and time to be grateful for our forefathers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, the great arm forces that serve and protect the country and continuously mirrors a lot of about FREEDOM and every US citizens that make this Independence worth fighting for. These are the people who continuously and altruistically make a difference.

🇺🇸

It’s about how people have poured their blood, sweat and tears to get us to this next level. I think every race can speak to that; when you look at African Americans and when you look at Hispanics, when you look at Italians. Every human being has a struggle of some sort as history recalls. It  is our past, our history so let us not discard this. Why speak of something if you dare not pursue or least dare think of it. I’ve heard stories from my parents and from my forefathers. They talked about the hardships and difficulties. My Dad is a Vietnam Veteran, my brother’s an Iraqi freedom veteran and I am a veteran myself. Some of my best memories are  serving this nation along with making some of my best friends. I learned about patriotism, benevolence and altruism. A cliche it is but it speaks the truth. It’s better to die fighting for freedom than be a prisoner all the days of your life.

If you’re not willing to die for it, put the 'freedom' out of your vocabulary.-Malcolm X

🇺🇸

FFreedom in all forms, we all want it. We all have different understanding, terms or even conditions  but in all ways we cherish the independence that comes with freedom.  It’s one thing to complain, it’s another to get in there and decide to do something to make a difference. Be thankful for our freedom, we should not only know but  we must exercise freedom. In everything that we do, we should ensure that we do it with purpose, something larger than ourselves. Live life on purpose. Though we have these great liberties that our predecessors fought for, we still must do our part to protect it. What part have you contributed? What part will you contribute? A wonderful and enjoyable Independence Day 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 to one and all.
