Creating your own Luck

A ten-year scientific study into the nature of luck has revealed that, to a large extent, people make their own good and bad fortune. The results also show that it is possible to enhance the amount of luck that people encounter in their lives. Lucky people generate their own good fortune via four basic principles. They are skilled at creating and noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling prophecies via positive expectations, and adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good.

Today, I was told that it would be my lucky day because of the colors I’m wearing.  I don’t do the whole luck thing because I think luck is when preparation meets readiness. There’s this guy I want to introduce. He knows a little bit about luck. And the first thing I say when people are talking about luck is I don’t need luck because I got God in my side. And on top of that, I’m prepared so I don’t need luck. If the right level of preparedness is put to it, what is luck anyway? Every now and then luck is when (1:09) but outside of that is a false evidence something that is inaccurate.

LUCK is built. It's not coincidental.

NOW I want to introduce you to this guy that knows maybe a thing or two about luck but maybe he worked hard, who knows but here he is this is Doctor John Pemberton. He invented Coca-Cola. But he’s offering a sip of his drink at the word coke and you know. He offers that on a day you want a little sip to pick you up and that’s what he brings you to know. He has his own. This is our guy that I want to introduce you to.
How about that for Luck

Seriously though luck is not leaving in that people that don’t work hard, that don’t have the word. Don’t want to put the work and effort in. Everybody wants something for nothing. Nobody wants to put the word effort what it is that they’re doing so. You really do get what you work for, you really get what you pay for you really do get what you deserve. How much do you deserve? I think you deserve a whole lot more than what you’re going after. I have a conversation with someone today talking about a third job. Somebody else got a second job I just newsflash people it’s not about the job. The job isn’t the answer. Ask yourself what are you doing with your resources. What are you spending your money on? What is the way can you do to get money more smartly instead of doing this hourly thing. Think about that. What can you do?  A people of you know they it works you Just have to work ethic. It’s not for everybody. I’ve been on it before, killed it, Pressed it. At this stage of our lives. I’m not about that anymore. This is about other things that I want to do and I want to accomplish that is an avenue that you can really do. Other things that you know, you can start a business. You can, I’m gonna stop talking but either way there’s another video, focus on what it is that you want because what you focus on truly does expand. Enough of this. I catch you with our next video. This is prime. Look your best. Do your best. Be your best.

When you build your own LUCK, then it's not SUPERSTITION.

Personality tests revealed that unlucky people are generally much tenser and anxious than lucky people, and research has shown that anxiety disrupts people’s ability to notice the unexpected. In one experiment, people were asked to watch a moving dot in the center of a computer screen. Without warning, large dots would occasionally be flashed at the edges of the screen. Nearly all participants noticed these large dots. The experiment was then repeated with the second group of people, who were offered a large financial reward for accurately watching the center dot. This time, people were far more anxious about the whole situation. They became very focused on the center dot and over a third of them missed the large dots when they appeared on the screen.

Just as Stephen Covey Seek to understand, then be understood. Learn the science behind luck, as contradicting as it might sound but. Here’s my take on this. The harder they looked, the less they saw. And so it is with luck – unlucky people miss chance opportunities because they are too focused on looking for something else. They go to parties intent on finding their perfect partner and so miss opportunities to make good friends. They look through newspapers determined to find a certain type of job advertisements and as a result, miss other types of jobs. Lucky people are more relaxed and open, and there- foresee what is there rather than just what they are looking for.
